I just got back from a 2 month vacation , spending quality time with my family ,visiting few places ,eating some wonderful food , timeflies…it was just like yesterday I was shopping and packing to India.
Here are a few highlights from my trip to India
Gnana Saraswathi Temple – Basara ,Adilabad Dist ,Andhra Pradesh
Basara temple is one of the very few temples of goddess saraswathi in south india. It is located on the banks of river Godavari . This Temple in Basar is a unique temple of Saraswati, the Hindu Goddess of Knowledge and Learning. Children are brought to the temple for the learning ceremony called as Akshara abyasam.
Aksharaabyasam: akshara means “letters” & bhayasam means “practice”… the ceremony of writing first letters. Our trip to basara was for my son Ashrith’s Aksharabhayasam .
Visiting Shirdi was one of the best moments of my vacation. Temple was crowded and took about 4 hrs for darshan but it was all worth it ,seeing shirdi sai so close , my eyes were full of tears, Goosebumps all over …. Totally mesmerized.
Grishneshwar Jyothrilinga temple
Grishneshwar, also known as Ghushmeshwar, is a famous Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, the sacred abodes of Shiva. The temple is located near the famous Ellora Caves.
