Last month when I visited New jersey, my friend recommended me to visit Sri Guruvayurappan temple.Due to fixed schedule , was unable to visit the temple  but  this time I didn’t want to miss the opportunity  to see the temple.

As we enter the temple premises, we see a beautiful temple and in front of the Temple is a golden Dhwaja Stambham and a series of fountains. It is a newly constructed temple ,so Rajagopuram has some paint jobs to be completed ( the exterior of the temple). The ground floor of the temple has a Gift shop and an Auditorium. An interesting facility in this temple is the elevator and I found it very useful otherwise beware !plenty of steps to climb.
On the second floor of the temple there are many Deities  and in the center is Shri Guruvayoorappan Deity and on sides is Lord Shiva , Lord Venkateshwara Swamy,Ayyappa Swamy ,Ganeshji, etc The architecture of the temple is amazing and the colors are rich metallic shades .The Idol that attracted me the most is Satyanarayana Swamy because it is big idol, made up of black granite and rarely do we get to see his statue.

Note: If you see the pic above is a booklet (pamphlet) you get  in the temple which has the details of pujas and calendar of events for 3 months.Did you know that Shri Guruvayurappan is the manifestation of Lord Vishnu. For more details about the temple go here.

All in all a wonderful trip and a peaceful darshan of Lord . I feel blessed …God is giving me ,opportunity to visit the temples and then share it with you.Have you visited this temple or planning to visit . Please leave your comments if you find my post nice and useful!
